National Rubgy Training Centre, Ballymore Stadium

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the QRU National Rugby Training Centre (NRTC) at Ballymore. As the subcontractor for the structural steel and metalworks, we have ensured the highest standards of construction and compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. The new facility, delivered in partnership with Buildcorp, is now the home of the Queensland Reds and Australia’s Women’s Rugby team.

Designed by Blight Rayner Architects, the NRTC is a state-of-the-art high-performance center that features an integrated 3000-seat stand, making it the centerpiece of the Ballymore elite sports precinct. Throughout the construction process, we worked closely with Buildcorp to identify innovative solutions and create value, resulting in a facility that exceeds expectations.

The project involved a range of elements, including the two-story building that showcases large steel truss members completing the cantilevered roof over the precast seating structure. Inside, there is a high-end double-story lobby and auditorium space, along with offices, function spaces, multiple player locker rooms and amenities, recovery pools, and a high-performance gym. The external landscaping adds the finishing touches to the facility, creating an aesthetically pleasing and functional environment.

Throughout the construction process, we meticulously managed the project to ensure the successful delivery of the structural steel works. Our dedicated team worked diligently to meet key project dates for commencement and practical completion, resulting in the successful construction of this world-class training center.
